Illinois residents wanting to speak to a mental health care professional can text the word 鈥淭ALK鈥 to 552020 (or 鈥淗ABLAR鈥 to 552020 for Spanish). They will receive a follow-up text asking for their first name and zip code, and the information will be used to connect them with a health care professional in their area. Residents who text the hotline will get a call from a licensed counselor within 24 hours.
